MIDDLE SCHOOL COLOR GUARD CLUB
8th Grade Band is a continuation of the Willard Instrumental Music Program that began in 6th and 7th Grade. It is our mission to ensure that we are not only shaping quality musicians, but also aiding in the development of strong contributors to society. Although our objectives focus on musical development, students will also learn the values and rewards of teamwork, perseverance, professionalism, and a balance of pride and humility through their practice and performance. We encourage students to present the best of themselves upon entering our classrooms, so that we may teach them to the best of our ability!
Students will be given objectives that are to be deemed proficient by the end of the year. In order to continue band in high school, students must pass ALL of these objectives and assessments, attend all performances, and meet the video assessment requirement. (See Grading and Continuation Policy).
